Description
PFD version
Primary flight display
80 mm version
3.5 inch version
Advantages:
- low cost (for what it can provide),
- extremely low power consumption (2.5W at 12V),
- unbelievably bright display,
- lightweight design,
- Nesis and CAN bus compatible,
- feature rich.
Emsis PFD shows:
- attitude (roll, pitch),
- indicated airspeed (IAS),
- altitude,
- QNH settings,
- vario,
- heading rate (1 minute and 30 seconds turn),
- outside air temperature (OAT),
- tracking course,
- moving map,
- logbook.
Sensors. All sensors but the OAT are integrated.
- precise altitude pressure sensor; pitostatic,
- precise IAS (indicated airspeed) sensor; pitostatic,
- three angular rate sensors; gyros (one per axis),
- three accelerometers,
- GPS receiver,
- digital outside temperature sensor.
Primary flight display shows artificial horizon with flight data information.
Emsis can also show raster maps on graphical display.
EMS screen (optional)
When engine monitoring unit (DAQU) is present on CAN bus, Emsis PFD can also show relevant engine and fuel information.
Integrated GPS/AHRS/Pitot
Emsis PFD has a built in global positioning system, an altitude and heading reference system, pressure measurement system and much more.
Emsis PFD comes supplied with digital outside temperature sensor.
Emsis automatically keeps a log of flights and stores them in a logbook.
We take great care to design our instruments lightweight and slim as possible. Emsis weighs from 235 g to 312 g.
The instrument must be connected to the total pressure source. Total pressure source is obtained from the total port on the pitot tube.
Emsis must be connected to the static pressure source. Either fuselage side surfaces or from the static port on the pitot tube.
Used to connect other CAN devices. Connectors are equivalent so either one can be used to connect a CAN device.
Connects to the Kanardia OAT digital probe.
Is used for external GPS antenna needed by the GPS receiver integrated on AHRS unit.
Encoder connection (optional)
Connects with external encoder for regulating QNH.
Used to connect with devices via 485 protocol such as indicators or LX Cluster.
Emsis uses six (80 mm version) or five (3.5" screen version) small push buttons to manipulate the user interface.
